Dessert for Breakfast Tidbit
by Jill Jackson

What is your favorite breakfast food? Mine is dessert! If your eyebrows are raised right now, I understand. You haven't tried Dessert Alert’s breakfast cakes and scones.

Okay, let me back up to and explain how it came to be that breakfast didn't have to be bagels or raisin bran, omelets or bacon. I love all of the aforementioned foods, mind you, but you cannot very well scramble an egg in the middle of a board meeting, and there are just so many flavors of bagels that can be accompanied with your morning coffee or tea. Somehow I couldn't waste another moment giving into the same temptation when it really did nothing to further satisfy me (or my ever-changing desires of the need to change the first meal of the day).

I prefer to mix things up a bit, don't you? The breakfast industry has changed, from the "Lego my Eggo" mentality and the "Toaster Strudel" phenomenon, right from the freezer into your toaster. Imagine your next brunch with a fresh cherry-almond scone, topped with a luscious icing and toasted almond pieces. Or perhaps, a chocolate chip scone, infused with orange zest, keeping our promise of the pursuit of prosperity in the coming year, along with our willingness to share it.

But scones are only part of the story.

Who forgot about blueberries and apples, the staple of the produce markets?
We didn't. In fact, two of our breakfast favorites include fresh, sweet, plump, mouthwatering blueberries, complemented with layers of tastes, including lemon, cinnamon and a variance of nuts. Our blueberry scone and our blueberry macadamia nut crunch cake are a whirlwind of flavor, just waiting to be savored. In addition, our Fuji Apple-Cinnamon crunch cake is abundant with moisture and taste.

Some of you may worry about the sugar content in these creations. However, the ingredients are all-natural and have no additives or preservatives, a far cry from what is in the freezer case at your local supermarket. Give dessert a chance and order it for breakfast.
